My name is Remy Gilboe, I am a professional trumpet player currently based in Northern Virginia in the DMV area. I studied trumpet at the University of Southern California, The University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Austin. During that time I developed a love for all things trumpet- classical music, jazz/contemporary music, and even marching band/drum corps.

My musical journey has taken me all across the country, starting in Southern California and now as an active-duty service member playing trumpet and bugle professionally for the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.

I find great joy in writing and arranging music for all types of ensembles and have experience writing for brass quintets, jazz big bands/combos, marching band/indoor drumline, and solo trumpet. I also take pride in educating younger musicians, and helping them along their own musical journeys. I have taught a wide level of students, from young beginners to advanced high school students.

I am already living my dream by being a full-time professional musician, and it is now my hope that I can further create meaningful connections while inspiring future generations to do the same.
